Texigryphaea Pitcheri or Navia
Texigryaea Pitcheri from the Early Cretaceous Albian Period, 100 million to 113 million years ago. Collected near Fort Towson, OK Weight 1.2 oz. 2-1/4"L x 2"W x 1-3/4"H Cleaned and coated with glossy floor polish. This fossil was first described as a Pitcheri species, but may well be the Navia species. Both existed near each other in the shallow sea of what is now Oklahoma.
